New blog and Happy New Year!

Welcome to JeffreyRice.net. I want to use this as an opportunity to learn and explore topics that are interesting to me. In general these will revolve around technology and web development. Getting this blog up and running was a learning experience in and of itself.

This site is powered by Node.js and Poet which is a simple blogging package. Exactly what I was looking for. It gives some basic functionality and is fairly easy to set up. In the future I would like to experiment with this more, but for now it's just a way to collect thoughts on web development and show off some projects.
